Since 2015, PBW Law has been a boutique legal practice based in Glasgow, acting for individuals, police officers and organisations across Scotland. Led by Professor Peter Watson — one of the first Solicitor Advocates in Scotland and President of the British Academy of Forensic Sciences — the firm has built its reputation on sustained, hands-on representation in some of the most sensitive cases in Scottish law.

Our work spans police law, criminal defence, civil litigation and defamation. We act for the Scottish Police Federation and individual officers in misconduct proceedings, PAT appeals, vetting matters and Fatal Accident Inquiries, alongside a wider criminal and civil practice acting for private and corporate clients.

As a small team, every case is handled directly by the solicitor responsible for it — not passed down a chain of trainees and paralegals. That approach has been recognised externally: PBW Law has been ranked in the Chambers UK directory for Police Law: Mainly Defendant for three consecutive years, with individual rankings for members of the team.
