Michael joined the firm in 2019 and began his traineeship in 2020. 

Michael‘s legal education began at the University of Stirling where he graduated with a First Class LLB (Hons) law degree. He was awarded ‘Best Performing LLB Law Student’ and picked up a host of performance awards, including the legal research award for ‘Best Dissertation’. 

Michael attended the University of Shanghai in China during the summer of 2017 to further broaden his studies. He later went on to study at the University of Strathclyde where he obtained his Diploma in Professional Legal Practice whilst working part time at PBW Law.

Since joining the firm, Michael has worked closely alongside Professor Watson on a wide range of cases. He has been deeply involved in high-profile Public Inquiries,  high-value civil disputes, and in Fatal Accident Inquiries. Michael manages his own criminal cases, instructing experts and preparing for criminal Trials. He has experience in a wide range of civil cases, such as employment, discrimination, negligence, breach of contract, property, personal injury and defamation.

Michael has instructed and worked alongside some of the country’s most renowned advocates and Queen’s Counsel. He plays an important role in our team which provides specialist advice and representation to private clients and members of the Scottish Police Federation. 

Michael adopts an industrious and thorough approach to his preparation and is often recognised by clients for his efforts and support throughout the legal process.
