Scottish-based firm PBW Law has appointed a new solicitor, Regan Wallace, to join its growing team.
Regan holds a First Class LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Dundee and obtained his Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Strathclyde. Whilst at university he received various awards, including ‘The Law Society of Scotland Prize for Overall Merit’ and ‘The Family Law Association Prize for Family Law’.
During his legal traineeship, Regan gained invaluable experience whilst training under practicing Solicitor Advocates and a part-time Sheriff. He was heavily involved in the preparation of an array of civil cases ranging from Simple Procedure to Court of Session actions. He has experience in a wide range of civil disputes including breach of contract, interdict, property and negligence.
At PBW Law, Regan will provide specialist advice to private clients and will manage his own criminal caseload, instructing experts and preparing for criminal trials whilst also being involved in high-profile public inquires, fatal accident inquiries and high value civil disputes.
Regan has a strong working relationship with some of the country’s most renowned advocates and King’s Counsel, and has significant experience instructing Counsel in complex and novel cases. His experience lies in carrying out detailed investigations to deliver the best possible outcomes for his clients.
Outside of the office, Regan is a senior listed Referee with the Scottish Football Association. He referees in the Scottish Professional Football Leagues (SPFL) and high-level Junior matches.
Professor Peter Watson, solicitor advocate and owner of PBW Law, said: “It’s great to welcome Regan to the PBW Law team, and it is extremely rewarding that he has chosen to take the next steps in his career with us. It is set to be a busy but exciting year for the firm and we look forward to the positive contribution Regan will undoubtedly make.”
Last year the firm received a coveted ranking for Police Law in the prestigious Chambers UK 2024 directory, as well as an individual ranking for Professor Peter Watson. The rankings are the definitive mark of excellence for law firms and solicitors across the UK.
The firm’s owner, Professor Peter Watson, was also appointed President of the Academy of Forensic Sciences (BAFS) – a charitable organisation that aims to encourage study, improve practice and advance knowledge in forensic science and forensic medicine for public benefit.
Additionally, in 2023 the firm joined Legal Network International (LNI) – an alliance of independent, internationally focused law firms committed to providing clients with the best available representation on their cross-border matters.
